Certification is a very important step to becoming a licensed professional. By being able to show to employers or clients that experience was gained, more money will be earned. Cisco, a computer networking company, offers network certification and wireless certification for the budding IT professional. Cisco certification enables many IT professionals to lead successful careers.
Cisco was founded in 1984 by scientists working at Stanford University.
Their focus was on networking and the Internet. At the time, the Internet wasn't very well known and was only used by scholars at universities. As the Internet grew in popularity, so did Cisco. Cisco is now a leader in Internet networking. They strive to provide information and Internet access to all people. By gaining Cisco certification, the busy IT professional will have the knowledge to continue Cisco's dream.
Networking becomes more important with each passing year. Every company, big or small, has some type of network set up. Their computers are connected to each other to share information back and forth between colleagues. The web of company computers are also hooked up to the Internet, which brings them relevant information and email in order to conduct business outside of the building. It's important for individuals to know how to fix the network when there's a problem, or to set up the network at the start of a business. That's where Cisco certification comes in.
Cisco certification is provided for three different levels: Associate, Professional, and Expert. Although all three of these classifications will provide more work to the person being certified, becoming an Expert is the best way to get more jobs and earn more money. Cisco also provides a certification course for each subject when planning out wireless certification or network certification.
Network certification is the classic way to gain Cisco certification. They have been offering this type of professional service for a long time. To become trained in networking, the IT professional can become a Cisco Certified Network Associate or CCNA for short. This is a learning and certification track that prepares people for working with networks in various capacities. There are three different Cisco certification exams to pass in order to receive this title.
Wireless networking has grown in popularity over the past few years. Wireless means that an office building can be hooked up to a network without wires. This can help the network design immensely. Now there won't need to be cord planning when building an office's network. Since this new technology has become so popular, Cisco now provides wireless certification. Professionals can either become a Cisco Wireless LAN Support Specialist, which deals with troubleshooting, or a Cisco Wireless Design LAN Specialist, which deals with the design of the network. Achieving this type of Cisco certification can lead to working with new technologies.
In order to prepare for Cisco certification, there are many Cisco certification courses that can be found online. They walk students through each step they need to know in order to pass examinations. There is also Cisco certification training that is actually run by Cisco themselves. Learning from the company that provides the certification means that students will be learning what they exactly need to know. They provide Cisco certification training not just on the Internet, but in classrooms as well. This is a necessary and recommended step in order to receive Cisco certification.
If someone is looking into becoming an IT professional, it is very important to receive certifications in the technologies they'll be working with. Since networking has become an essential part of almost all businesses, Cisco certification is a must. Certification courses also enable a student to master the technologies he or she will be working with in the future, and will also prepare a student for certification exams.
